To-Do List

Here’s my “honey-do” list! Of course I’m eager to be part of the process and will be alongside my Mister as we tackle these projects! He just has more experience in this stuff and so naturally becomes our team captain.

Every Room
[  ] Paint! Paint! Paint!
[  ] Update the trim
[  ] Replace 9 gold door handles inside and the exterior door

Entry
[  ] Create a welcoming space with either a bench or entry table
[X ] Gallery wall of family photos, art pieces and tchotchkes! DONE(ish)! 05/25/2011

Living Room
[  ] Repaint!
[  ] Fireplace
        {  } Update the 1980’s pink brick fireplace with paint (and sometime later some kind of fancy stone/tile)
        {  } Update the fireplace with a swanky gas flame
[  ] Change out the ceiling fan
[  ] Install/increase lighting

Dining Room
[X] Replace dining room fixture – DONE! 02/06/11
[  ] Hang art

Kitchen
[  ] Update cabinets, more paint!
[  ] Replace kitchen hardware on cabinets/drawers
[  ] Research countertop options
[  ] Switch over to gas and replace the electric oven with a convection oven w/ gas cooktop!
[  ] Install a vent that actually draws air outside
[  ] Update lighting (goodbye fluorescents!)

Marko’s Room
[  ] Hang curtains

Rumpus Room
[X] Paint walls black or dark grey DONE! 03/23/2011
[  ] Change out the light fixture
[  ] Set up wet bar/lounge seating

Master Bedroom
[  ] Update lighting
[  ] Replace Smurfy blue carpet (hardwood vs. carpet debate is pretty hot in this house!)
[  ] Update headboard

Master Bathroom
[  ] Research options for the pink jetted tub
[  ] Replace pink tile
[  ] Install double sinks
[  ] Fix venting fan (sounds like a dinosaur growling)

Exterior
[  ] Update the trim

Backyard
[  ] Plant vegetable/herb garden
